This phrase shows how mind-blowing this film is.

Although Tarantino thought this movie will be a second “Pulp Fiction”, most critics and people claim it has too much blood and violence and most of these bloody scenes are simply too much to bear.

Definitely, there is much ado about this movie, actually, hope not about nothing. “Inglorious Basterds” features a number of stars such as Brad Pitt and Diane Kruger for example.

The premier was a success – especially when Lindsay Lohan managed to shock people with her jaw-dropping weight loss.

She arrived at the Sydney Gala Premiere for ‘Inglourious Basterds’ at State Theatre on August 3, 2009 wearing a mind-blowing short dress perfectly complementing her pale skin and smokey eyes.

She was very natural and charming. Love the way she looked! The premier went smooth, but I am ready to bet Tarantino was hoping for beter results.

I am ready to bet you already know that Brad Pitt is playing the main role in Tarantino’s unusual movie about World War II. According to Tarantino he was crazy about having Pitt in his movie, because this role was something he could perform flawless. As it turned out, Tarantino was right.

Pitt is a pitiless, cold-blooded and damn attractive Nazi officer, he looks really great in the movie. Diane Kruger was a perfect choice as well, she was highly believable and natural.

The premiere of Tarantino’s new WWII flick was a tremendous success, however, most critics claim that this movie has too much blood. I can’t agree more.

PROS:

• perfect acting. Everybody’s performance was fantastic, brilliant and highly natural. It was real pleasure to enjoy them acting;
• wit and smart dialogues;
• realistic depiction of the historic events;
• incredible costumes;
• a great written story.

CONS:

• this movie is lack of actions, I think movies about war should be more detailed and contain more action scenes;
• the movie has too much violence and some of these scenes are obviously completely unnecessary;
• too extensive and sometimes even boring dialogues;
• the movie seems to be hurried up;
• the end definitely doesn’t meet the expectations while watching this movie;
• it doesn’t provoke a feeling of move that has been polished to perfection like a gem.

Or, please, don’t feel upset, it’s only critics review. However, I am ready to bet the movie has dozens of really terrific scenes!

The first three posters reveal not much about the movie, but they perfectly show the gloomy and dark atmosphere it has. Frankly speaking, not a kind of poster I would like to enjoy on the threshold of Halloween or any other holiday of this sort.

It was reported that the movie had been filming in Germany. It is seen with the naked eye that the movie will feature tons of blood and violence and Pitt’s character is the main fiddle here. It is obviously one of the most exciting Tarantino debut, since this movie has nothing in common with his previous gems. So without further ado, let’s check the trailer!

Love Brad Pitt in the movie, but as to me, at least according to the trailer, the movie features too much blood and too less Pitt and Kruger (to put it clear, there was no sight of hers in the trailer). The only one thing that Tarantino had in mind while creating Basterds was pain or may be blood, or may be a terrible combination of both.

Very realistic!

It was originally reported that actor Michael Madsen, who participated in Tarantino’s Kill Bill would star in the movie and its released was scheduled for 2004. But in the process of writing a script Tarantino found Bastards to be much important and bigger than planned. It took him almost a year to create an ending. The director planned to start this movie in 2005.

In November 2004, the director suspended production of Inglourious Bastards and started directing a part of the 2007 Grindhouse. However, he was still insistent to finish the movie by 2008. After completing the movie Tarantino said he thought it was the closest thing to Pulp Fiction.

When the script was finished, it was leaked on the web and unfortunately Tarantino failed to pull a rabbit out of the hat. The official debut was made at the Cannes Film Festival in 2009 and the film will hit theatres on August 19 in France. 

The movie boasts a large and really famous cast including Brad Pitt as Lieutenant Aldo Raine, Diane Kruger as Bridget Von Hammersmark, Mélanie Laurent as Shosanna Dreyfus, Mike Myers, and Samuel L. Jackson.

The movie promises to be very interesting and intelligent. There are two main plot lines in it. The first one begins in German-occupied France, where the tragedy occurs – a young girl Shosanna Dreyfus (Mélanie Laurent) becomes a witness of her family execution. She escapes to Paris and gets a new identity, she becomes the owner and operator of a cinema … but she never leaves her revenge plans …

The second plot line sets somewhere in Europe where Lieutenant Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) creates a special group of Jewish soldiers known as “The Basterds.” Their main aim is to eliminate Nazis. That is where the two plot lines intervenes …

“Inglourious Basterds” movie is expected to hit theaters worldwide on August 21st, 2009.
